This message is sent with High Importance on behalf of the LLAA Chairman – Jim Whitaker .

Unfortunately the main entrance gate has finally broken at the top hinge, this now makes it dangerous when opening and closing as the weight is being held on the lower hinge.

The Town Council has been informed but as they are not back in work until tomorrow morning which will be the earliest that anything can be done.

We therefore advise all plot holders not to go down to the allotments until further notice, this is because the likelihood of being locked inside the gates is probable because the gate is now very difficult to open and close, plus the gate could break and fall with severe consequences, so for your own safety please wait until we inform you that it is safe to use the gate.

Please contact the Town Council for more information, we will try and keep you updated and your co-operation during this time is requested.
